October

Hey Friends! Thank you for reading my ministry blog this month!   October went by really fast and I think this was the first month that I really got into a routine with meetings, classes, studying, and everything else. At this point, you've heard about most of the stuff I do in a regular week at least once, so I figured I'd focus this blog more on what was special to this last month. This first picture is from the Northeast church in Wylie on Sunday morning. This specific community within the Northeast church body is connected to the Focus ministry at Collin College. All of the Focus pastors at Collin attend this church, so I began joining the Sunday morning zoom calls back in May. But since then we have started meeting in person again (outside and with safety measures of course). I've really loved getting to meet some of these people in person for the first time! Also, it's another opportunity to worship and participate in communion with a body of believers. I think we...

Hey everyone!  Thanks for taking the time to read my September blog!      I just want to say thank you so much for being on my support team and allowing me to do campus ministry this year. I've been reflecting on just how much of a blessing it is to be able to work hard at something that is important and life-changing. I thank God for all of you!     Here's what I've been up to...  Core:     This is (part) of the small group that I've been helping lead this year so far. They come from very different backgrounds and have diverse personalities, which can make pastoring them more challenging, but honestly I think our diversity seriously enriches our experience as we try to push each other to be more like Jesus.   Hey everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my ministry blog for this last month. It's been a busy month and a lot of stuff has happened. Let's get to it! I also want to thank you for supporting me prayerfully and financially, making it possible for me to do this this year. I've LOVED  getting to reach out to students on campus everyday and I have faith that God is using all that hard work, even though I have not been able to see much fruit yet and sometimes it does not feel  like much is happening. The seeds of faith are being planted and there will be a harvest this year! I talked about this in my last update, but the month started with two weeks of classes on the Old Testament      Towards the beginning of classes, one of the pastors in our community described what it was like to closely study the OT by comparing it to tectonic plates shifting under the surface of the Earth. That picture definitely explains what is happening to m...
