Hey everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's! I just wanted to update you on my life and ministry this last month, so here's my blog for December. This month was a blast!
Thank you so much for reading this months blog and for supporting me.

This month we had another worship night! The last one went so well that we had to do it again before the semester was over. These worship nights have really helped our community to stay connected since we can't meet as regularly as we would like to. They also give us a chance to worship God as a group, which is really important to us. I'm looking forward to many more of these next semester as we, as a ministry, try to navigate reaching out to and developing students during a pandemic.

This month I got to go to Six Flags! I had never been before and it was an absolute blast (my favorite ride was Mr. Freeze). I wanted to include this because it was surely a highlight of my year so far and also because this group of people has become like another family to me. I'm so glad I got to spend so much time with them this month. God is constantly using them to teach me and challenge me - I can't wait for another semester of getting to know them more and I'm very thankful that God put them in my life!

This was another community event that we held at Collin this month. We got a projector in a backyard and put on Home Alone to watch while we sipped on some hot chocolate - fun times! This next semester our Collin staff team is trying to get really creative about community events. One of our core values is being a community that facilitates spiritual friendships, so we want to give our students as many safe opportunities to build those kind of relationships as we can. We believe that this will really bless them for years to come, so please be praying with me that God would bless our efforts. Also pray that vaccines would begin rolling out soon!

This picture was taken at our end-of-year staff lunch. The entire Focus staff across every campus doesn't get to meet up very often this year, so we took some extra time to hangout, get to know each other more, and to celebrate the end of the semester. Again, these people feel like family to me and I'm so grateful for my time with them.

As a ministry, we are also trying to heat up the value of prayer for our students. Our vision is the same as Paul's I think - that we would "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). So over the break we gave our students a weekly prayer guide with the hope that it would help teach them how to pray and also give them guidance over the break, since so many of our students feel like they often don't know what to do during quiet times with the Lord (I can definitely relate). I would really appreciate your prayers for this initiative with our students and that we would be a community with a vibrant prayer life. Thank you for praying through this!

Here's a picture of me and my mom at a Christmas Eve service - Love you, Mom!
