September 2021: Our Richland community is growing!

Hey! Thank you so much for reading and for supporting me in ministry!

I have a lot of photos from this last month (because so much is going on), so this month's update is pretty much a photo dump! I hope you enjoy!

This was taken at one of our campus staff meetings that we have every week. I love these guys!

This was taken at church on Sunday morning a few weeks back. Claire and I are at the staff level and Erika, Bryan, and Simon are student leaders at Richland. They're so fun and I'm super excited to get to know them more this year and have them in our ministry.

We had a field night recently so here are some chaotic pictures of us trying to play soccer.

Richland Focus students just love each other and love hanging out together! I got this picture of them hanging out and having a good time before one of our weekly TNT meetings. So many vibes in one picture..

I couldn't help but get some pics during worship. Every week Sirak leads us in a couple songs and we praise God for being so good to us. Also, we're starting to get packed in this room - more and more people are showing up each week which is really exciting!

Here are some more pictures from core (weekly small group meeting)- we were just hanging out before core started. These guys are already becoming some good friends of mine. So excited to grow in friendship with them and for us to grow in our faith together!

^ this video is of us singing happy birthday to Brandon. As we sang happy birthday he filmed us so he could show his friends and family back home in central Africa that he had made some good friends in America. It was so sweet!

^ Bryan, one of our new Richland student leaders, gave the student testimony for this month. He has a huge heart for God and for people, so I'm really excited for him to get some hands-on experience in ministry this year. Please be praying for him!

My one prayer request is that God would help me to lead our students by the example of Jesus.

Thank you for praying for me, for reading my newsletter, and for being on my support team.

Much love,
Joey Thurston
